September 30 2022 - The Waterford Heritage and Agricultural Museum is excited to present this special event for the museum as we host the Friends of the Fiddlers Green on Friday, September 30th at 7 p.m.
Enjoy a night of great original and traditional songs, fiddles, guitars, bagpipes, mandolins, vocal harmonies and lots of funny stuff!
This totally uncategorizable collection has been together, with a few personnel changes, since their inauguration at Toronto's Fiddler's Green coffeehouse in 1971. Nobody, not even the Friends themselves, can predict what might happen during one of their concerts, but it always includes humour, powerful vocal harmony, great musicianship, social commentary and an irresistible urge to dance.
Tickets on Eventbrite for $30 (+ processing fees) or in-person at WHAM.
Something isn't right here. That book is out of place. There is a card in the display case, but no item behind it. There are antiques in the incorrect place; and artefacts that are standing wrong side up. Clearly, the Waterford Heritage and Agricultural Museum needs your help. As curators of other nearby museums, you are called to the WHAM after hours in order to help figure out what is causing these disturbances.
Once inside, you are greeted by one of the exhibits who has come to life. They are happy to show you around and share tales about the other exhibits. As you hear stories from their lives, it becomes clear that one of them is the culprit behind these disturbances. The question is, which one? Succeed and you will find yourself promoted. Fail, and you may find yourself trapped behind glass forever.
The Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum is excited to host, Live History, a Governor General’s Award nominated theatre company that specializes in bringing local history to life. Immerse yourself in this theatrical experience and try to uncover just who is messing around with WHAM’s exhibits!
