WHAM Youth Volunteer helping a camper.

WHAM’s youth volunteers have been a vital part of the success of our camps as well as many other special projects at the museum. Volunteering is a great way to begin to build a resume, earn school volunteer hours, make new friends, and develop leadership skills. We believe that each volunteer can offer something unique to our programs, whether you have a special talent, interest or just enjoy working with kids.

The Youth Volunteer Mentorship Programs is offered to youth ages 13 and older. After successful completion of the museum orientation, youth volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in programming, help plan and implement camp events and activities, and take part in off-site trips. Returning youth volunteers are eligible to enrol as mentors; to partner with new participants and have the additional responsibility of planning WHAM’s hugely popular Night at the Museum.

Orientation takes place Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Pizza lunch is provided. RSVP required by June 7th. Please email our summer camp coordinator, Alana Watson at [email protected]
