2018 Christmas Stop & Shop Header
Monday, November 19th, 2018
5:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m.

On Monday, November 19th, the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum will join several local businesses on Alice Street, Main Street, and St. James Street in hosting a variety of artisan vendors and crafters selling unique or handmade gift items.

The annual Waterford Christmas Stop & Shop Night is an evening event geared at bringing the community together to kick off the holiday shopping season and encourage Norfolk County residents to BUY LOCAL!

So get a jump on your holiday gift list (or perhaps even your own wish list!) by visiting the museum’s Bowlby Bros. & Co.  gift shop. We carry home and garden products, unique seasonal items, and books on local history. We also have a selection of vintage inspired and novelty toys that make excellent stocking stuffers for all those good boys and girls who have made it onto Santa’s “Nice” list.

Light refreshments will be served.

Alexander Graham Bell Portrait
Alexander Graham Bell and the Invention of the Telephone
Wednesday September 12, 2018
7:00 p.m. start

On Wednesday, September 12th, WHAM will host the Waterford and Townsend Historical Society in our gallery for a lecture by Bell Homestead curator Brian Wood. Wood will speak on Dr. Bell, his history in the area, and the invention of the telephone. He’ll also bring examples of Dr. Bell’s early phones!

The talk coincides with a new exhibit at the museum, focusing on the Waterford telephone factory, and showcasing the three different telephone styles in their collection (including some donated by the WTHS).
