Registration starts Tuesday, May 14th and operates on a first come, first served basis.
WHAM’s summer camp program aims to inspire, educate and challenge our campers through fun and creative hands-on learning. Our dedicated and supportive staff integrates education of local history, the museum collection and community involvement into the daily activities of the program. Camp is organized into theme weeks incorporating a variety of topics, guests and field trips. Register for a day or the entire week!
Camp runs from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for children 5 to 11 years of age. WHAM also offers Extended Camp Care from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for an additional $5.00 per day, per child.
Camp days follow a school-based structure with two nutrition breaks.
Around the World
July 2 – 5
Get ready to explore the world! After making homemade passports, campers will hop on the plane of imagination and begin exploring all this world has to offer. They will bake recipes from different countries, show their groovy side through cultural dances, and learn about many famous landmarks and traditions.
Fun with Food
July 8 – 12
It’s time to put on the aprons and head into the kitchen! This week, campers will explore the world of food. They will learn to how to bake delicious desserts, create their own homemade pizza, and battle it out in WHAM’s annual cookie bake-off.
July 15 – 19
Our campers will be creating and participating in their very own WHAM Olympic Games. From athletic events to building challenges, campers will be able to demonstrate their talents while developing teamwork skills and friendships along the way.
July 22 – 26
It’s a race against time! WHAM campers will create their own homemade time machine and use it to travel back in time. They will experience Medieval Times, travel to the Wild West, and relive the days of disco! But don’t worry, they will be back just in time for you to pick them up at the end of the day!
Fun in the Sun
July 29 – August 2
Bring your sunscreen and get ready for a week filled with fun outdoor activities. Campers will embrace adventure as they go for hikes, create nature crafts, and partake in classic summer games such as kickball and capture the flag. Don’t forget your bathing suit and towel for water activities!
August 6 – 9
Explore your creative side, as creativity runs wild at WHAM all week long. Campers will have the opportunity to express themselves using the world of art, through sketching and painting, staging their own play, creating delicious kitchen concoctions, and hitting all the right notes with DIY musical instruments.
Neverland & Beyond
August 12 – 16
It’s time to explore some of our favourite mystical and magical worlds. From Neverland to Hogwarts and Oz to Wonderland, books have given us some of the most amazing worlds to escape to. This week campers will play games, create crafts, and participate in activities inspired by our favourite childhood stories.
August 19 – 22
Watch our camp room be turned into jungles, forests, mountains, and the sea as campers explore the world of animals and their habitats. Through animal themed crafts and games, campers will learn more about the wildlife that surrounds us!
Night at the Museum
August 23 – 24
Spend the entire night at WHAM! This hugely popular event, now in its 9th year, is a perfect way to end the summer holiday. Participants spend the evening under the stars with camp fire adventures, stories, and marshmallow treats, followed by popcorn and movies on WHAM’s indoor big screen.
Night at the Museum starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23 with pickup at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24.
Cost is $35 per child – for youth ages 5 to 11 years

To be registered, we require full payment and completed paper work at least one week prior to the scheduled date of the program. Spots cannot be reserved over the telephone. When registering, please ensure to bring:
- Emergency contact(s) name and phone number
- Proof of child’s age
- A list of allergies, medications, or any special accommodations
Registration Fee: $27.50/per day per child*
*extra fees may be required for trip days
Payments can be made by either cash, cheque, or debit. Cheques are to be made payable to: NORFOLK COUNTY.
If there is not enough interest in a specific camp program, the program will be cancelled and those who have registered will receive a full refund. If a cancellation request is received two (2) weeks prior to the start of a program, a full refund, less a $5 administration fee, will be issued.
