“Although the concept of painting with beeswax was new to me, it’s actually a very ancient art form.  Encaustic medium is created using a mixture of beeswax, damar resin and pigment.  Each layer of wax must be fused together using heat.  I love the amazing texture that can be achieved by building layers of wax and then using tools to carve and scrape away.” ~ Pam Schneider
