The Norfolk County Agricultural Hall of Fame was launched by the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum in 2014. It aims to honour “achievements, results, benefits, and innovations accrued to agriculture and rural development on a local and/or broader basis as a result of the nominee’s volunteer and paid activities.”

Join us as we formally recognize the 2018 recipients and unveil the new exhibit highlighting their outstanding accomplishments.

Antiques Roadshow Volunteers

In celebration of National Volunteer Month, Norfolk County Heritage & Culture cordially invites you to our very first VOLUNTEER DRIVE on Saturday, April 7, 2018.  This will be a fun, interactive and FREE bus tour through the County.

Volunteers are an essential and valuable resource to our organization. We have a wide range of opportunities available, everything from gardening to exhibit construction to working with our collections.  We want to match your needs and interests to ours and ensure that your volunteer experience is rewarding!

Stops at our sites will allow you to experience firsthand the work we do in our communities.  If you are interested in learning more about us or becoming a member of our volunteer team then jump on board our VOLUNTEER DRIVE. Lunch will be provided.

Boy with Basket at Easter Eggstravaganza

WHAM’s famous Easter Eggstravaganza kicks off with a return visit from The Illusionist: Lucas Wilson, Canada’s only 4 time Guinness World Record holding illusionist! Following the show, children (12 and under) have a chance to win great prizes and hunt for over 5000 chocolate eggs. This event has been generously sponsored by the Waterford Chamber of Commerce.

Doors open at 10:30a.m. on a first come, first served basis. Admission is $5/adult, $3 for children 12 years and under. Outdoor egg hunt starts at 11:30 a.m.

Red & White Christmas Ornaments

On Monday, November 20th, the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum will join several local businesses on Alice Street, Main Street, and St. James Street in hosting a variety of artisan vendors and crafters selling unique or handmade gift items.

The annual Waterford Christmas Stop & Shop Night is an evening event geared at bringing the community together to kick off the holiday shopping season and encourage Norfolk County residents to BUY LOCAL!

So get a jump on your holiday gift list (or perhaps even your own Wish List!) by visiting the museum’s Bowlby Bros. & Co.  gift shop. We carry home and garden products, unique seasonal items, and books on local history. We also have a selection of vintage inspired toys that make excellent stocking stuffers for all those good boys and girls who have made it onto Santa’s “Nice” list.
