October 12th-14th, join a costumed guide and take a night stroll through Waterford’s downtown. Listen to the guide as they tell true stories from our town’s darker past. Who knows? You may be surprised at the deathly tales of murder and mayhem that have emerged from the quaint houses and gentle fields that surround Waterford.

Tickets for Moonlight & Mayhem IV will go on sale September 18th.

Pre-registration for this event is required and payment MUST be received at the time of registration to secure a spot on the tour. 

Please Note:

This tour will deal with adult content and is recommended for ages 13 and older. The tour will involve walking over uneven terrain. The tour route is approximately 1.5 km in length. Please come dressed appropriately with comfortable walking shoes and dressed for all types of weather as the tour operates under all conditions.

Alexander Graham Bell and the Invention of the Telephone

On Wednesday, September 12th, WHAM will host the Waterford and Townsend Historical Society in our gallery for a lecture by Bell Homestead curator Brian Wood. Wood will speak on Dr. Bell, his history in the area, and the invention of the telephone. He’ll also bring examples of Dr. Bell’s early phones!

The talk coincides with a new exhibit at the museum, focusing on the Waterford telephone factory, and showcasing the three different telephone styles in their collection (including some donated by the WTHS).

What’s your favourite antique or family heirloom worth? Join WHAM for our second Antiques & Collectibles Roadshow to find out!

On Sunday, September 16th, we’ll have more than a dozen experts available to appraise your treasures. From china to jewelry to militaria (and everything in between!) – we’ve got you covered. Appraisals are $5 per item, with all proceeds benefiting the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum. Appraisal tickets will be available at the door.

Don’t have anything to get appraised but still want to be part of the fun? No problem. This is a FREE event. You are welcome to stop by WHAM to watch the appraisal process or visit our fabulous partners at the Waterford Antique Market for an antiques show and trunk sale. Who knows? Maybe you’ll even find  a treasure of your own!

Ag Hall of Fame Induction 2015

The Norfolk County Agricultural Hall of Fame was launched by the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum in 2014. It aims to honour “achievements, results, benefits, and innovations accrued to agriculture and rural development on a local and/or broader basis as a result of the nominee’s volunteer and paid activities.”

Join us as we formally recognize the 2018 recipients and unveil the new exhibit highlighting their outstanding accomplishments.
